The Mighty Mini
$250

The Light Heavy Chest plot is a classic of magic dating back to the 1800s by French magician Robert Houdin. Houdin would introduce a small wooden box. He said that he had found a way to protect it from thieves. He asked a spectator to lift it, usually a small child. The child lifted it with ease. Then he brought an adult male up from the audience and asked him to lift the same box. Even though he used all of his might, the adult male was unable to lift the box!

Gimpy's Magic in association with Christopher Lyle, is proud to present The Mighty Mini!

Don't let the size fool you! At a mere 6 1/2" x 6 1/2" x 4 1/2", this little jewel packs quite the punch. The Mighty Mini is made of cabinet grade oak plywood and trimmed in solid oak and solid brass veneer. This chest is made from scratch in Gimpy's Shop. Its distressed wood finish has the patena of a 200-year-old antique. Your audience will easily believe they are holding a piece of history.

This box also comes with an extra little twist! When the spectator tries to lift the box--Surprise! The handle pops right off in their hand...an idea created by both Bizzaro and Christopher Lyle. No harm done, just have them try to lift it by the sides--it won't even budge! The handle is held by magnets that adhere to a piece of steel built into the surface of the lid, so you can use the chest with or without the handle, and the box still looks great.

Double the laughter with our optional side pop-off handles--After the top handle comes off, have them try the sides--they come off, too! The side pop-off handles sell separately.

Handling time varies with product availability.

Gimpy's Old Time Cube a Libre
$395

Gimpy's Magic in association with Christopher Lyle proudly presents Gimpy's take on the classic Cube A Libre. Built in Walnut and accented with brass, it gives this effect the look of a magic prop from long ago. The tube is hand-rubbed and meticulously polished to give it that old time look and feel. There is no hole in the tube as the gimmick is self-contained. The cubes are durable, yet light weight--only 4 ounces each. The entire set with tube, blocks, special gimmicks and custom cardboard carrying case weigh only 7 1/2 pounds.

EFFECT: Two stacks of blocks, fully inspectable, each stack of blocks is numbered one through six. Rearrange the blocks from one stack, place the column over the second stack for a split second and when the column is removed the number order of the second stack matches the first exactly.

The performer puts it through its paces by turning the blocks sideways, backwards, upside down--but the second stack of blocks always matches the first. For a finale, the spectator chooses whichever way they would like the blocks to be stacked.

REVIEWS:

"Simply Amazing!" The Cube a Libre absolutely blew me away..."

"All I can say is WOW! Either I'm a total blockhead or this is one of the most devious methods I've ever seen. I couldn't figure it out."

Anytime-Anywhere Coins Across Routine
by Christopher Lyle
$10 Download

Coins Across is one of the various plots that make up the world of coin magic. Audiences always seem to be intrigued by the idea of coins traveling invisibly between the performer's hands, which accounts for the enormous popularity of this very magical effect.

With Anytime-Anywhere Coins Across, Christopher approaches the plot from a much simpler viewpoint. Most CA routines rely heavily on complex, knuckle busting Sleight of Hand and usually employ a gimmick of some sort to accomplish the effect.

With Christopher's routine, absolutely no gaffed coins or extra coins required. You can use your own coins, or you may even borrow the coins from an audience member if you desire. The routine is TOTALLY IMPROMTU and can be done anytime, anywhere (thus the name!).

The routine WILL fry your audience. The simplicity of the routine is what makes it so amazing. No hard moves to master, and everything flows naturally. This effect is perfect for the novice beginner or the seasoned professional.

Just think...no matter WHERE you are, you will know how to perform a miracle with ONLY four coins. You'll be able to pass coins back and forth between your hands for a lifetime of fun and entertainment.
